Hardworking little helpers: What are you working on today?

dear little helpers,
what are you working on right now?

I’ve started knitting a scarf; I want it to be wider than usual so I can wrap it nicely around my ears when I need to

Since I’ll be in the hospital for a few days, I’ve been looking for a challenge to pass the time.

I’m dusting off my knitting needles for the first time in years and trying my hand at illusion knitting.



You can’t really see much yet :-)

It’s not that hard, and I’m excited to see the result, 

I’m working on a doily. With a crochet hook, of course. 😉

I actually finished crocheting my 1.80 x 1.80 m patterned blanket over the weekend! Yesterday I started weaving in the ends, and that’ll probably take another 3–4 evenings :)

Gosh, I have no idea what I’m going to do once I’m done with it :D 

Petra, I hope you get well soon and that you’ll be back home before long.

You’ve picked out something lovely to keep yourself busy. It’s great that you’re knitting again. You’ve chosen beautiful colors, even if we can’t make out a pattern yet.

Funny, I’ve also started a project like that—for the first time. It’s a big blanket—a real long-term project.

I’m really enjoying knitting again—it goes much faster than crocheting.

Yes, Petra, I also really enjoy knitting and have been doing it for quite a long time.
Still, there are always techniques I haven’t tried yet. Like shadow knitting and double-race, but I’m working on it.😋

In any case, I wish you lots of fun and I’m excited to see the finished piece.

I just started the first few rows of the pattern; now it’s time to count and pay close attention—it’s not going as fast anymore, but it’s nice to see the first results.

Yesterday I finished knitting part of one of my blankets. A tree made of what feels like 10,000 cables....


Today I’ll pick up stitches for the border, all the way around...
From the bottom of the provisional cast-on, the sides, and the stitches still on the needle. I think this could be a very long round....
