Becoming an Artificial Flower Maker / Silk Flower Maker + Milliner / Headpiece Maker

are you still familiar with older job titles such as artificial flower maker / silk flower maker, as well as milliner or hat maker?

Dear Josefa,

I’m only familiar with these terms from reports about the Sebnitz artificial flower factory or when the topic is old professions. Or from books about fashion or hat-making. The milliner was responsible, among other things, for the “decorations” on the hats. Everything was arranged and sewn on by hand. It’s such a shame that these kinds of crafts are becoming increasingly rare today.

Yes, who even wears hats these days? And flower-decorated ones, at that? Maybe during carnival...

Of course... that used to be my dream job... silk flowers and hat-making... simply heavenly 

Surely such things are needed for film and television.
