I set my sights on this lion yesterday afternoon, embroidered it today, and put it in a small embroidery hoop

Wow, Akela, what a masterpiece. This would be perfect for my mom (her zodiac sign is Leo).
It really stands out beautifully against the black background.

I don’t think the lion will stay with me for long—when my youngest granddaughter sees him, she’ll immediately ask if he’s for her, because she’s a lioness, too :-) and a *symbol* ;-) of her zodiac sign. :-)
