Crocheting a Donkey - Color Change

Hi, I’ve already crocheted a few animals, but now I’m having trouble with a two-color ear...
The color change is twisting in a weird way. Maybe someone has a tip for me.

You’re probably crocheting in spiral rounds, right? It’s totally “normal” for it to “twist” like that. If you’re crocheting with just one color, it usually isn’t noticeable. The only way to avoid this is to close each row with a slip stitch and then start the new row with a chain stitch.
