Unpicking Seams: Tips and Tricks?

do you have any tips and tricks on unpicking seams?

It’s best to use a seam ripper, but I also use this cutter with a narrow blade to cut through stitches. You can also use a pair of pointed scissors, but be careful with jersey—if you’re not careful, you’ll end up with a small hole in the fabric in no time.

Can you sew it again, or is the fabric completely ruined?

If the hole is just tiny, you can safely sew right over it and it’ll disappear into the seam—nothing will come undone afterward. For bigger holes, I take some small lint from a scrap that was left over from cutting the fabric, mix it with a fabric adhesive powder, and use that to patch up the hole. You have to be careful, though, not to use too much of the mixture of fibers and powder, or else you’ll end up with a thick bump in that spot.
