Hi :) I'm currently crocheting a jacket using an English pattern I found online. I'm working on the sleeves right now and don't know what "alternate DC x4" means. Could someone maybe help me out and explain what I need
to do here? Thanks in advance!!

Or rather, it says “alternate DC x4 and DC increase.”

"Alternate" means "alternately," and "DC4" means 4 double crochets. "DC increase" means you need to increase here.
So you crochet 1 increase, then 4 double crochets, then 1 increase again, then 4 double crochets, and so on.
