Terry cloth cleaning cloths

Sewn from old terry cloth towels, they can be used all over the house—there are plenty of ways to put them to use. I’ll use the big one in the back center for cleaning the bathtub, since it covers a larger area.

what did you fill them with?

with my Josefa sewing machine—I’ll adjust the settings accordingly, since this old terry cloth is often quite thick and a bit stiff—and off we go! I’ll stuff them with cotton stuffing, so they can even go in the washing machine after use if necessary

No, this pyramid shape is intentional, because it makes the cleaning pads fit comfortably in your hand, allowing you to clean effectively without getting cramps in your hands; I have to be very careful about that because of the osteoarthritis in both my hands.
This pyramid shape is very easy to make: take a piece of fabric, sew it closed on three sides, then fold it so that the two side seams lie on top of each other. Sew it closed halfway, fill it with stuffing or whatever you have on hand for stuffing, and sew the rest of the seam by hand or with a sewing machine—that’s the whole trick.

For someone who can sew, this is definitely a great idea. Glad the pyramid shape works for you.
I always just use those microfiber cloths from the store and throw them in the washing machine when I’m done. :- )
