Are you satisfied with October 2020?

Dear users and authors,
how was your October?

Yes, October was a lovely month. The vibrant colors and warm weather made for some lovely long walks. I also got plenty of knitting done—sometimes even out on the balcony.

I even got to watch our hedgehogs feeding. By now, they’ve probably retreated to their winter quarters, since it’s gotten quite chilly.

So far, so good :)

October brought some big changes for us personally—all very positive ones.
Our personal highlight, of course, is coming the day after tomorrow—Leo’s first birthday :)

This was also my last month of parental leave. In November, everyday life starts again for me. I really enjoyed this last month.

The newly announced “lockdown light” isn’t exactly great, of course… But oh well. We’ll get through this, too. 

My October was good.

We had a lot of rain—which is supposed to be a good thing—and also some very nice sunny days.

We’re all healthy, and our friends and acquaintances are doing well, too. We talk on the phone a lot; in-person meetings have been greatly reduced.

I had a few days off here and there, so I was able to put some of my many ideas into action in October, and my unfinished projects didn’t pile up.

Now let’s see what the coming weeks have in store for us. 

I’m very satisfied with October. The summer months were a bit taxing for me health-wise because I had so many doctor’s, physical therapy, and occupational therapy appointments. Now I’ve scaled back or worked through everything, so I only have one such appointment once a week. There are some things you just can’t change or speed up—and sometimes you just need a break from them. I’m currently in this “break phase” and am focusing more on the beautiful things in life again. It’s doing me good and filling me with joy. I hope things continue this way.
