what is a paisley pattern?

Paisley is originally an Oriental pattern that found its way into the Western world, partly because of its beauty. I love paisley and enjoy embroidering this kind of design onto my pants.

Akela explained it very well. I also really like the Paisley pattern with its oriental flair. I’m always automatically drawn to this pattern when it comes to clothing—I have a few blouses with this pattern.

Dear Akela, I think your paisley swirl is beautiful. If I had your crafting skills and your embroidery machine, this would be one of my favorite designs. It’s almost too pretty to be at the bottom of a pant leg.
