Knitted Poncho with Fringe
Ideal for knitting beginners with perseverance. There really isn’t anything complicated about it. We only knit knit stitches; the colors come straight from the ball of yarn. When worn, the poncho looks very stylish. It keeps you reliably warm, but doesn’t look too bulky. So it’s ideal for fall.



Knitted Warm Poncho
Ideal for anyone who needs more warmth. It is knitted as a raglan from the top down. The increases are always worked evenly along the cables. Everything is described and shown in detail. You can knit it to a variable length.



Knitted Short Poncho
I like to recommend this model to “office people” or anyone who needs freedom of movement for their arms. The poncho has exactly the right length so that your arms stay free for working or handling things. Nothing gets in the way here. Even so, it naturally keeps you nice and warm and looks good too.

About 4–5 years ago, I knitted a cardigan with a matching poncho and hat; then my daughter and teenage granddaughter were staying with me—you can guess three times what was gone when they left :-) I was happy to give it to them, because I knew they’d actually wear it. My daughter told me later that the poncho was exactly what she needed for a brisk walk in the woods—warm, but not too warm.

The Poncho Cube can also be knitted just as a hip flatterer ; in that case only 200g of yarn are needed, while the poncho requires 300g in sock-yarn weight. The cube pattern is a simple Fair Isle pattern, and a simple lace pattern is knitted along the lower edge.
