How's your yarn supply? Do you have enough yarn?

do you have enough yarn for your current projects?

Dear Josefa, you can never have enough yarn.

Yesterday I bought a ball of black yarn. Our grandson wants a tube scarf—and, of course, in a color that Grandma didn’t have in stock. 

Yeah, that’s kind of true. You can never really have enough yarn. That said, I have to admit I still have enough in stock for my projects. I want to hold out as long as possible without buying any more yarn. And I’m already looking forward to the space I’ll have eventually so I can fill it up again.

I made it through a whole year in December. And the way things are going, I’ll keep going after that, too.

My yarn for the two “grandchildren’s jackets” with ears arrived by post today.
So I can get started...... 

I do still have enough yarn at home, but not enough in one color and yarn weight for a jacket like that. Otherwise it would be a colorful jacket, very colorful, and the grandchild (and their mother) wouldn’t like that either.

WollwunderPetra: I’m in exactly the same boat with my oldest grandson (11): He wants black socks, but my yarn stash is full of blue, red, or green patterned sock yarn…

There’s still plenty of yarn left.

I’m continuing to use up my leftover yarn.
I’ve finished some socks with it, and I’m working on some arm warmers.

I have one advantage since I only crochet or knit for myself: the colors have to be ones I like.

I still have enough yarn for small projects. For larger projects, though, things are looking a bit tight.
In December, I managed to stick to my “yarn diet” for a whole year, and I’m going to keep it up.

Haha, a yarn diet... Since I buy a lot of yarn online (we don’t have a craft store nearby), all these newsletters don’t always make it easy for me to stick to a yarn diet—I’ll probably have to unsubscribe from a few of them, lol...That’s why my yarn stash is well-stocked, and right now I’m working my way through a box of scraps. I hope things will calm down a bit for me starting next week so I can get back to crafting.

There’s plenty of yarn. If I could, I’d buy even more.
