Dear Josefa,
autumn is setting in in my garden. But there are still plenty of things to discover. It’s not as colorful as it used to be, but it’s still pleasant and uplifting. I still have a few things to harvest:
Tomatoes
—they still need to ripen so I can save seeds for next year
Peppers
—this is my first year growing the round, thick-fleshed Hungarian variety. When they’re fully ripe, they’re bright red. You might know them sweet-and-sour pickled in a jar.
And there are still a few autumn beauties to admire among the flowers as well. This hydrangea is champagne-colored at the start of blooming, then turns pink, and gradually deepens in color. Today I cut a few blooms and placed them in a vase without water. They make beautiful dried flowers.
Warm regards, Ina
