Sock Monster

Dear users, dear authors,
who among you has a sock monster at home that always steals one sock from every pair? What do you do about it?

I have a really “cute” sock monster... this one here....
But I can’t really be mad at her 🙈
What helps is that I usually buy socks in big packs (so lots of identical ones), then it’s not as noticeable...
It’s only annoying with hand-knitted ones, but I’m slowly figuring out where she hides them—Emely just needs them for cuddling...
And the washing machine, which also tends to swallow some every now and then... the only thing that helps is a laundry bag...

Years ago, our neighbors had a cat that used to steal gardening gloves all over the neighborhood…

....yeah, some animals really do have a “quirk”...
My cat only steals yarn, but only a certain kind... it has to contain silk and mohair.... He hides it in his sleeping den on top of the closet, where I can only reach it with a stepladder (3 steps)...
