Where can I buy materials and supplies (eyes, etc.) for crochet projects in small quantities?

Hi!

I’ve caught the crochet bug and I’m totally obsessed with amigurumi. Most of them are multicolored, and some even have glass or plastic eyes. Since the animals aren’t very big, you don’t need that much yarn of a single color. Sometimes the pattern calls for just a few grams. As a beginner, I don’t have a large “yarn stash” (yet). So here’s my question: Does anyone know of an online store or any other way to get small amounts of yarn or “eyes” at a reasonable price—ones that aren’t sold in bags of 100?

I’d appreciate any tips!

I also mostly crochet the smaller figures. I often order from “Hobbii” or “Rithohobby.” They also carry these mini skeins and safety eyes in packs of 10. Maybe you’ll find what you’re looking for there.

Oh, I have to thank you for the tip, too—so far I’ve only been buying the eyes in larger quantities, but I’m currently browsing :)
