Unique Gifts

Hi everyone,
My sister is celebrating her 60th birthday in my backyard next weekend. That gave me a reason to breathe new life into a few old photos from my computer. While looking through them, I came across two photos taken six years ago for my 50th birthday. I wasn’t on cp back then, so today I’m showing you some of the gifts I received at the time.

Specifically, I got a T-shirt with my shop’s logo and a homemade cake. I hope you can clearly make out the balls of yarn, buttons, and knitting needles made of marzipan and frosting. It was 35°C that day, and we had to eat the cake really quickly—otherwise it would have melted.

Yes, you’re all right. Special gifts like these are remembered forever. And dear Swantje, a friend of my daughter-in-law’s, makes these themed cakes just for the joy of baking and designing. In real life, she works in overalls at Bombardier and builds trains.
