Weekend: What are you up to?

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I’m going to a birthday party. One of our granddaughters turned 5. 

I wish you a wonderful weekend too, Josefa. We’re going to make the most of the sunny, warm weather before the rain clouds roll in. Crocheting, crafting—whatever takes our fancy.

This weekend, I’ll be enjoying some knitting in the garden, picking currants to make jam, and tidying up our pantry. 

I’d also like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend.

I’m going to do a little work later and tend to the currants this afternoon. We also want to turn on the garden shower.

Knitting, going for walks, cooking something delicious, and maybe visiting my grandson tomorrow—that’s the plan for now.

Tonight, we’re celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with the whole family. (We had to postpone it because of COVID-19.)
In between cleaning, tidying up, and cooking, I’d like to sew a T-shirt for my two grandchildren—I saw some fabric on my last shopping trip and couldn’t resist 😋.
Tomorrow, I’ll enjoy Sunday...... 

Since my son is now in the Austrian Armed Forces and usually spends the weekend with his girlfriend (I’m mostly just in charge of doing laundry and cooking these days), I have the HOUSE ALL TO MYSELF!!!! That means: doing whatever I want—watching lots of videos, of course, plus knitting and doing crafts as long as I feel like it—and enjoying this free, kid-free time. He’ll be back tomorrow, and I’ll help him pack his things and then take him back to the barracks in the evening. Luckily, he’s really enjoying it, so I don’t have to feel guilty.

I’d also like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend. I’m sewing kids’ clothes for our children’s food bank—I’ve sewn two pairs of pants and two matching jackets. Now I just need to add buttonholes and sew on the buttons, though I’m still deciding which ones to use. Each jacket will also have a little bird appliqué on it.

Some of the wild cherries we picked have been frozen, and others are sitting on the balcony table to dry.

Now I’m working on the second little sock for my Advent calendar.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, too.  We just had a friend and her son over. The little guy is a week younger than Anton, and the two of them had a lot of fun in the kiddie pool.  

And tomorrow I get to work. 

No more weekend for me. After being on short-time work, I got to go back to work again today, and of course tomorrow too. I’m so exhausted and tiiiired today.
Of course, it’s check-outs at the hotel. Only 40 rooms are occupied.
Let’s see how all this develops.
