Spinning / Spinning Wheel

Dear users, dear authors,
who among you has a spinning wheel and spins their own wool?

I once took a weekend course and tried out different spinning wheels. I really enjoyed it, and I could definitely see myself buying my own spinning wheel someday to spin my own wool.

I really liked the yarn when it was very irregular—sometimes thicker, sometimes thinner. However, I haven’t knitted with the yarn I spun, so I can’t say what it would look like in, say, a shawl or scarf. 

I regularly spin my own alpaca wool and knit with it.

What I like about spinning:
 - the peace and quiet; the whirring of the wool is so calming
 - processing my own wool myself
 - pure nature
 - alpaca wool is such a soft yarn
 - more joy in what I've made myself
