This little berry basket for a kids’ play store or play kitchen  contains all the berries of the season: strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, currants, and cherries.
You can crochet all of this using lots of leftover yarn, use up a bit of your yarn stash, and bring your kids great joy, because they always love shopping and cooking just like grown-ups.



 
The little strawberry flower child   is a cute and original table decoration, especially when strawberries are being served. The strawberry child is about 12 cm tall, and you can bend its arms and legs so it can take on different poses. It’s quick to crochet using just a few leftover pieces of yarn in red, green, yellow, white, and skin tones.



And even in the kitchen, you can tell it’s berry season:

TheStrawberry Potholder   with its funny face is an eye-catcher and instantly lifts your spirits. To crochet it, you’ll need about 35 g of red potholder yarn and scraps of green, white, yellow, and black.

A real eye-catcher, and not just during strawberry season: these knitted sneakers for children in sizes
22 - 30. They are relatively easy to knit because there’s no need to knit the heel flap here.

Explosion boxes are always a wonderful gift idea, and when their look matches the occasion or the current season—all the better!  

This explosion box inspired by strawberry season even includes a strawberry-shaped inner container!

 

The box is made from photo cardstock and decorated with patterned paper. It measures approx. 10 x 10 x 10 cm; the inner container measures approx. 8 x 10 cm. With a little crafting experience, it is very easy to make. The PDF file for the patterned paper is included with the pattern.
