I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi there. I’m on my way to work. We’re finally reopening tomorrow. In Hamburg, restaurants have been allowed to reopen since Wednesday. Today is the prep meeting and rearranging things. Taking out tables and stuff.

I’m really excited. 
Finally seeing other people again. It’s just that the stupid mask is annoying; I wear glasses. Does anyone have a tip to stop them from fogging up?

And on top of that, I have asthma, so breathing with a mask is really hard for me.

I’ve got a special request from my 9-year-old granddaughter this weekend—she ordered some doll clothes from me for her Lotta, and now she’s got a little sister too. Then, with a twinkle in her eye, she said, “Grandma, please—if possible—make them matching outfits :-)” Grandma will see what she can do and get sewing.

I know that problem with fogged-up glasses too.
If a wire is sewn into the top edge of the mask, your glasses won’t fog up.
You can then press it against your nose.

I can’t stand the wire; I also have asthma and huff and puff under the masks like a walrus ;-) I’ve sewn myself some thinner masks now, since it’s supposed to get really warm next week. I hope that makes it easier to breathe.

Yes, these masks aren’t exactly easy to wear for people with asthma and pollen allergies.

I also often think of the supermarket staff, who really have to wear them all day long. 

The sun is shining here again. So I’ll definitely do some gardening, and I’ve also found an idea online for a new bag made from an old pair of jeans. I’d like to try that. 

My workday yesterday was great. Finally back at work. 😀 There weren’t many guests, but the ones who were there were nice and laid-back.

  Since I work behind plexiglass most of the time, luckily I don’t have to wear my mask for 8 hours straight—just when I step away from the partition.

And today, my husband and I are finally going out to eat again. My mother-in-law is watching Anton, and we’re going to an Austrian restaurant. I’m so excited.
