Phone lanyards on trend?

Dear users, dear authors,
do you have a phone lanyard that you use to wear your phone around your neck? Do you prefer regular phone pouches?

I sewed a little pouch for my phone and used a long shoelace as the strap—I always have fabric scraps lying around to sew things like this; this is actually my second little crossbody pouch.

I made my own cell phone pouch too—not by sewing, but by crocheting. It hangs from a foundation chain. When I don’t have my purse with me or when I’m at home and want my phone within reach, I wear it around my neck. I don’t like keeping it in my pants pocket—my old one once slipped into the toilet and broke :-(
