Baby blankets are wonderful to crochet with gradient yarn. This blanket is crocheted in one piece, so there’s no need to sew several individual pieces together. The incorporated pattern with bobble stitches still creates a beautiful look.

Bessie Shawl

The ideal project for gradient yarn is the Bessie shawl. You can find the pattern for it in my Blickfang-design store.

Crochet Pattern for a Triangle Shawl

The pattern repeats over 2 rows and is easy to follow. The shawl is started at the tip and ends when it reaches the desired size. Here I used a summer yarn (Tahiti by Schachenmayr) and crocheted 150 grams of it.

This small shawl works up very well with gradient yarn. In the pattern, the design is described in writing row by row, and you’ll also find a knitting chart that you can work from.

You should be familiar with knit and purl stitches, yarn overs, and increasing stitches.

Baby Blanket Lilly
popular with moms and babies

A great gift for newborns and toddlers.

The pattern explains all the steps in detail with lots of photos so you can crochet the blanket.
Only basic crochet skills are required.
For advanced crocheters, there are also crochet charts for the blanket and all appliqués .

For the blanket, I used approx. 550 g of yarn cake yarn (4-ply, 190 m/50 g).
The blanket measures 95 cm x 95 cm.

Tania Scarf-Shawl
A sophisticated accessory

—View the Pattern—

This scarf-shawl combines the advantages of a scarf and a shawl.

As always, the pattern is richly illustrated and provides step-by-step instructions on how you can crochet this scarf-shawl yourself—even as an ambitious beginner with good basic skills. For advanced crocheters, there’s also a crochet chart .

The shawl shown is 220 cm long and approx. 25 cm high. It was crocheted using a
4-ply yarn cake, 150 g (50% cotton, 50% acrylic—approx. 190 m/50 g).

Here are my suggestions for enchanting designs that look especially beautiful thanks to the color effects that come straight from the ball of yarn:

1. Lace shawl for beginners - knitting pattern

2. Doll clothing: poncho in various versions - crochet pattern

3. Cowl for the whole family - knitting pattern

I hope you enjoy your new project.

Best wishes, Ina

I crocheted the Emma wrap from Bobbel yarn without a gradient, but since it is worked in one piece, it works just as well with a gradient.

Thanks to the slightly diagonal cut, the fit is truly one size, almost like a poncho.

With this pattern, you can crochet either with large stitches (using a large hook) or fine stitches (using a small hook).

It is important that you make a gauge swatch and, if necessary, adjust the hook size to your way of crocheting so that you achieve the measurements given in the pattern.
