Bind off: Tips and Tricks?

do you have any tips and tricks on binding off?

Maybe someone else would like to share a tip or ask a question on this topic?

When I knit, I cast off using a crochet hook. It’s faster and turns out very neat. 

Ruth, that’s a great tip—thanks for the reminder. I’ve done it before but then completely forgot about it.

When I want to bind off loosely—for example, for ribbing—I use a knitting needle that’s at least two sizes larger—so if I’m using size 3 needles, I’ll use size 4. That always works really well.
