Help with the pattern

Hi, I need some help with a pattern—I’m having trouble with Round 10. Do I need to crochet 2 double crochets in each stitch, or 2 double crochets in one stitch and 1 double crochet in the next, and so on? I have no idea.

You start by chaining 2 and crocheting 1 double crochet into the same stitch.
In the next stitch, 2 double crochets; in the next stitch, 1 double crochet; in the next stitch, 2 double crochets; in the next stitch, 1 double crochet.
Repeat what’s in the parentheses until you reach the end of the round.  Just follow the instructions in the pattern.
