Oh, Heike, I was in a similar situation recently. My sweater is coming along... and I’m still figuring out what to work on next.
But now I’m in the home stretch with my sweater. All that’s left is the button placket at the top and the collar—and then, of course, weave in the ends. Then I can finally wear it.
I just asked my daughter if I should sew a polar bear cuddle pillow for her grandson. The pillow has several parts and it’s a lot of work, but I’d still love to make it because it’s so much fun.
Last night I unraveled an entire pattern repeat of my shawl because I realized I had too much yarn left over from the cake. So today I added back the rows to the second-to-last lace pattern that I had previously unraveled for fear that I wouldn't have enough yarn!!!
The shopping net that will be flying to South America with my husband as a little gift got its handles today and is now almost finished.
I'm also still thinking about what to whip up for my youngest grandson: a bath toy, a sweater, pants, and a sleeping bag for the teddy bear, an embroidered terry towel… There are lots of ideas, but as always, probably too little time!
I’ve been knitting a summer shirt all week (in case summer ever actually arrives), and yesterday I laid out some yarn for a waterfall cardigan. But since I don’t quite understand the pattern, I’m taking it—along with the yarn—to today’s knitting club and hoping they’ll be able to help me out there.
