Hardanger embroidery... my mom used to do that. Beautiful tablecloths. In all sizes and in many colors. You can also embroider beautiful tablecloths for Christmas, with glitter yarn. I’m getting carried away. 



Hardanger embroidery comes from Norwegian and is a form of cutwork embroidery. You embroider with different stitches, which strengthens the edges of the motifs, and then you carefully cut out or pull out the threads with very pointed scissors. 

You can embroider it white on white, or in color too. 



For Easter, she designed this tablecloth together with my father. Bunnies with Easter eggs. My father drew the bunnies in such a way that my mother could embroider them back then. Sadly, this tablecloth was never finished.
