I just finished the first sock of a pair where I tried out a new pattern (from a magazine). It’s going great—I like the pattern, so I’ll stick with it and knit it more often. Now I’m ready to start on the second one. At the same time, I’m making rainbows out of yarn.
I finally got around to trying out the entrelac crochet technique (following a video for beginners). It wasn’t nearly as hard as I always thought it would be.
My test piece is now going to become a cushion cover.
Right now, I have the following on my needles: two crocheted shawls (one is waiting for the rest of the pattern to be released in early February), a knitted shawl, and the custom-order wrist warmers—I’m not sure yet if they’ll turn out well; the yarn is very thin (they’re meant to be a knitting project for on the go). So, I definitely won’t be bored anytime soon!
I’m working on a blanket for which I had planned to use 4,000 meters of fingering-weight yarn... I’ve crocheted the first 500 meters, and the blanket is 15 cm wide :) I’ll have to think carefully about whether I’ll have enough yarn...
