Christmas weather?

How's the weather where you are? Do you have Christmas weather?

There’s no sign of Christmas weather yet.
It’s 14°C here and the sun is shining.

I’m going to get ready now and go outside to 
enjoy the “spring weather”.

Well, what exactly is “Christmas weather”? It certainly didn’t snow in Bethlehem back then either....
But at least it gets dark early. That’s when I light my candles. I find that really cozy.

We’re having spring-like temperatures here, too. I feel the same way as Ruth. When it gets dark, I make things cozy with candles. I love this time of year.

Yesterday, I saw a lilac bush while I was out that already had thick green buds. It won’t be long before it unfurls its leaves. The forecast for this week calls for 12 to 15 degrees here. Let’s see what St. Peter still has in store for us.

Where is winter? Maybe with Andrea (Bastelfan) in Norway? In any case, it won’t be here in eastern Germany anytime soon.

Exactly, Ina—it gets dark early here too, and it’s cold, but I can only report snow at higher elevations; here we’ve got just a few flurries here and there, with some slippery spots. Yesterday we had sleet and temperatures ranging from -1 to +2 degrees.
But I’d love to have spring-like temperatures like you have, and some sunshine—though that doesn’t really get you in the Christmas spirit; it’s more like Easter.
It’s a bit of a bummer for the kids—no sledding or building snowmen. Just come on over, everyone, and we’ll have a real snowball fight.

Way too warm.
On Sunday, I saw a ladybug on the balcony. Also, our Japanese ornamental cherry tree is in bloom.
