For toddlers, leggings are the perfect clothing right now. They keep them nice and warm and are also comfortable. Easy to knit for anyone with knitting experience. This pair grows a little with your child. It fits from size 98 to 104/110.

A sleeping bag for dolls, teddy bears and newborns (43-50 cm) - that is always on trend. With this little trick, children will surely be much happier to go to bed when their own favorite is already tucked into the sleeping bag.

Dolls (43-50 cm) need warm pants too. Here are two different designs at once. Both are easy to knit, and a few colorful leftover yarns are enough.

To match, there is a Schlüttli with hat in the same size. The doll mommy will be delighted, because this clothing also fits a real baby.

This sweater with a side button placket in the same size also goes wonderfully with the pants. Like the Schlüttli, it is knitted with RVO and is easy to make.

You can knit these socks even if you have avoided the heel until now. The mowi heel is ingeniously easy to knit. It is explained here with the CraSy Trio, meaning with 3 needles.

This sweater fits small teddy bears measuring 25-30 cm. I designed it for my Fynn. It is knitted with raglan from the bottom up and is easy to make.

To the knitting pattern

Always on trend, very pretty and super practical is this round collar. It warms the neck and shoulders and is totally easy to knit. Ideal for beginners with basic knowledge.

This grow-with-me little pinafore dress for toddlers with knitted-in hearts is always on trend. That's because, amazingly, it grows with the child from 1.5 to 5 years. Yes, it is a true quick-change artist. And it is easy to knit, in one piece.

Absolutely timeless and sure to stay on trend for a long time is this cover for Tempo tissue boxes. This even lets you use Tempos as decoration, and for environmentally minded people even as a napkin substitute.

Easy to crochet from leftover yarn. Colorful leftover yarn is perfectly sufficient here.

Will llamas and mermaids stay in style?

I think so, judging by my granddaughter. She loves cuddly llamas, and Pamina the alpaca, which I designed for her, always has to come along:

Pamina is about 25 cm tall and is crocheted with fluffy yarn. It’s not that hard if you crochet with a thin cotton yarn as a secondary thread. That way, you can still see the stitches even with this yarn.

And mermaids are, of course, all the rage with her, too. She’s simply fascinated by the underwater world and would love to be a mermaid herself.
That’s why I crocheted Marina, the little mermaid, for her, and she absolutely adores her:

Marina is 40 cm tall in total and is crocheted from soft acrylic yarn. But you can also use cotton yarn.
Click here for Marina’s crochet pattern.

And since the Barbies have to turn into mermaids too, of course, they’ve been given this great outfit, which you can quickly crochet from a few pieces of leftover yarn.

Tip: This might make a great Christmas surprise, because the fishtail is really quick to crochet!

Mystic Arctika is a large cozy scarf or stole, knitted with 300 g of yarn with a yardage of approx. 400 m per 100 g.
The pattern is explained in detail and also shown with a chart, and it really isn’t difficult.

The mole was voted Animal of the Year for 2020. And since moles are so cute, this is sure to be a trend! Here’s a pattern right away so it can be with you all year long.

In the picture on the left, I crocheted it using thin chenille yarn (Bohème Velvet by GoHandmade, black (190 m / 50 g)); in the picture on the right, you can see it made with cotton yarn (Catania, black (125 m / 50 g)). You’ll need about 20–25 g of black yarn and a scrap of pink or skin-colored yarn. The mole will be about 12 cm tall.
Of course, you can use any other yarn—depending on the yarn weight, your mole may turn out larger or smaller.

Hearts are always on trend - especially for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day - but their symbolism also makes them popular at other times.

Gerlinde is a little crooked and lopsided, which makes her extremely charming. The heart is quick to crochet; maybe you even have some suitable leftover yarn in your stash.

You can find the details about the materials needed and the required skills here in the crochet pattern:

Unicorns will also be popular in 2020.
They are, after all, lovable mythical creatures - and a little dreaming never hurts.

This one is a toilet roll cover that is very decorative both in the car and in the bathroom.

Here you can find the crochet pattern and more information about the materials needed
