Dear users, dear authors,
dear little helpers,
do you currently have any UFOs (unfinished objects)? If so, why have these craft projects been left unfinished?

I only have one UFO right now, and that’s my embroidery piece. But it hasn’t been put aside—I’m constantly working on it. It’s a long-term project that just takes time. If I keep at it, I estimate I’ll be finished around this time next year. Of course, you have to do something else every now and then to keep it from getting too boring.

I don’t have any UFOs lying around—thank goodness, I have to say—because UFOs are something that really bother me.
I do have tons of *mental* UFOs ;-) but thankfully, those don’t count :-)

Right now I only have one UFO lying around, but it’s been there for over two months. It’s a crocheted sleeping bag for dolls made from wool I want to use up. Since there’s no rush and I still have a lot of knitting to do for Christmas, it’ll stay on the back burner for now. It doesn’t really bother me, though—I’ve stowed it away so it doesn’t keep getting in my way. Of course, I’ll get back to it eventually, but probably not until next year.

I have a sofa blanket lying around that I just can’t seem to get motivated to work on… it’s gray with a waffle pattern. It’s coming along very slowly—other things are always more interesting… but at least it’s making progress.

All my needles are free! I finished the scarf yesterday, and I also knitted a pair of baby socks today. Tomorrow I’ll start on a crocheted Secret Santa gift...

I have a few UFOs right now...
A teddy bear, a baby blanket, and a little amigurumi... The last little animal I need for the mobile.

The reason for the UFOs is right here with me—and asleep.

I haven’t held a crochet hook since the birth. Somehow… Yeah.
Maybe things will get better soon :D

Oh, Tina, with such a sweet reason, it doesn’t matter how many UFOs you have! Your Leo is just sooo adorable!

My long-standing UFO—a large tablecloth—keeps getting interrupted by smaller projects.
It takes me at least a day to crochet one side.

Tina,
that’s really a sweet reason for your UFOs.
Congratulations on the baby.

Tina, this sweet reason excuses everything.

All the best, and congratulations on your adorable little bundle of joy.

Hi Tina,
Congratulations.
I’m glad you’re doing well.

Someday you’ll find the time to get back to crocheting. :-)

But for now, just enjoy your time together.

Hi Tina, there comes a time when your baby no longer wants to lie on you. Enjoy this time—it goes by so fast. And soon you’ll be sitting at the playground and have all the time in the world to crochet again.

My UFOs (and unfortunately, there are many) are sitting there because the next project is always more exciting than the one I’m working on now. Or I’m still missing the right buttons, or I don’t like it anymore, but I’m not ready to rip it out yet.

There are lots of reasons.

With this loop scarf, I wasn’t sure if it was tall enough yet or if I should knit one more pattern repeat. So it sat in the corner for over 9 months. When I wanted to finish it, I couldn’t remember the pattern anymore. Grrr.... Now it’s turned into a cape, and I love it.

Dear Tina: Congratulations on your sweet baby! Enjoy this time—the little ones grow up way too fast!
My UFOs are mainly three little Christmas trees that I started in October and that now have to wait until the most urgent Christmas gifts are finished. The crocheted nets aren’t quite finished either (not quite as urgent as I originally thought!) and then there are just a few other half-finished projects tucked away somewhere in the depths of my embroidery baskets… Right now, angels are important—as little guardian and comfort angels during illness and after a bereavement.
