Happy birthday, and have a wonderful day with all the trimmings.

Thank you so much for the kind wishes. Unfortunately, today wasn’t quite as great. Since I’m still feeling under the weather, I had to cancel my girls’ night out.

I had lunch with Anton today. Beef medallions. Unfortunately, they were tough. In fact, the chef came out and apologized—I’ve never experienced that before.  Still, it was a bummer that it didn’t taste good.
In the evening, my husband came home with some really bad news. I sent him off to play soccer to blow off some steam. To blow off my own steam, I spent the whole evening ironing name labels into Anton’s clothes.... what a great birthday.

Oh well, some days are just like that...
