The pretty “Tea for 2” table set is crocheted using the filet technique. This technique is very simple—you just need to crochet chain stitches and double crochets. There are no increases or decreases and no color changes.
For the pattern, you’ll receive a chart to follow, but it’s also written out in detail row by row.
Crochet two of these sets and you’ll have a great decoration for a cozy tea time for two!

The “Snowman and Snowwoman” pot holders are no problem even for crochet beginners, since they’re essentially made up of crocheted circles.
So you should be familiar with the following crochet techniques: chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and crocheting in rounds and rows.

For both pot holders combined, you’ll need:
  • 120 g white cotton (130 m/50 g),
  • scraps of black, orange, pink, and light blue yarn,
  • crochet hook size 3

How about a few gnomes made from leftover yarn—they’re also perfect for an Advent calendar. The gnomes are very easy to crochet and can then be used in many different ways. For example, as egg cozies, for small items, as gift wrapping for little surprises, as decorations, and much more.

The size can be adjusted however you like.

The heart is a decorative eye-catcher in the bathroom and can be used as a bath sponge, and it is very easy to crochet.
It is crocheted from sponge yarn using only single crochet in spiral rounds. If, as a crochet beginner, you have already crocheted a crochet start with a magic ring (Magic ring), single crochet, increases, and decreases, you can definitely crochet this heart easily.

Together with, for example, a fragrant shower gel, the pretty heart also makes an original gift, a heartfelt thank-you, or a small present for someone close to your heart.

Knitting pattern for a blanket

You can create this cable effect without a cable needle. Only knit and purl stitches are used. Two patterns are combined here. In the pattern, the pattern is described in writing row by row, and you’ll also find a knitting chart.

I used, for example, merino yarn with a length of 165 m.

We were all beginners once, and with every successfully completed project we get better. I’ve picked out three beginner projects for you that I would recommend to my best friend in a heartbeat as a first handicraft project.

Knitting pattern for a cowl

You can knit this in 3 sizes for the kids, yourself, your husband, or a friend. The color effect you see in the photo comes straight from the ball of yarn. But you can also use solid-colored yarn. You knit in the round with a size 4 circular knitting needle. And you don’t have to knit any purl stitches. You can also wear the cowl as a scarf (see last picture).

Knitting pattern for a cuddly baby blanket

This one is ideal for knitting beginners who want to knit a welcome gift for a baby for themselves or for parents-to-be. It is also the perfect gift for a 1st birthday. Thanks to the high-quality, very soft merino wool, it keeps you reliably warm without making you sweat underneath. Anyone covered or wrapped up in it will feel safe, cozy, and wonderfully warm. It can even be washed in the washing machine. You can make it in 2 sizes.

The pattern is ideal for knitting beginners, because we only knit knit and purl stitches—and I also explain and show everything in great detail. We knit with size 4 needles, so you can see the stitches well.

Crochet pattern for the “Kunterbunt” rug

This is also a lovely beginner project, this time for the crochet fans among you. Every rug turns out uniquely beautiful because everyone crochets with different colors. So you can combine your colors however you like. We only crochet chain stitches, half double crochets, and double crochets.  Since we work with doubled yarn, we make quick progress too. With every round, the rug becomes more beautiful, larger, and more interesting. It’s a little addictive because you always want to crochet just one more round. The rug fits wonderfully in a child’s room. We make the back non-slip. In the pattern, I describe everything very precisely and step by step.

I wish you lots of joy and success with the project of your choice.

Warm regards from Ina

You don’t need years of experience to make this Advent calendar: It’s okay if one or two of the containers don’t turn out perfectly—the next one will turn out even better, and in the end, everything will look absolutely beautiful!

The calendar containers are made of photo cardstock, each measuring about 6 x 11.5 x 7 cm, and are easy to make; however, since there are 24 of them in total, you should get started early enough.

Everyone will be delighted by a handmade crocheted little pouch as a small gift for your next invitation—filled with chocolate, a gift certificate, or something similar—and it’s something very special.
With this pattern, you can make it very easily.
