These crocheted appliqués with Christmas motifs are perfect for using up really tiny amounts of leftover yarn and as a quick little in-between project.

They’re very easy to make, so you can keep your hands a little busy over Advent coffee without too much effort. And at the same time, you’ll create original gift tags for your parcels!
You can find the crochet pattern here!

Many books are given as gifts at Christmas, because people have time to read during the holidays, and many like to curl up with a good book. Why not give an original bookmark as a gift to go with it? Bookmarks are great for using up leftover yarn and can be designed to match the book’s theme. Here, for example, you have a fire dragon that’s sure to appeal to all fans of fantasy literature.

This cute winter set made from leftover sock yarn is exactly what a baby needs right now—it keeps the head, neck, hands, and feet cozy and warm.

Easy to knit, even for beginners with some knitting experience.

What makes it special: The socks are knitted using the super-easy mowi heel, which you can get to know at the same time.

Doll clothes, for example for Baby Born, are guaranteed to make little doll mommies’ eyes light up. How about this sweet set with a cardigan and hat for Christmas? It can be knitted in any color combination you like using leftover yarn.

Easy to knit with top-down raglan—even for beginners with knitting experience.

The jacket and hat fit dolls / teddy bears measuring 45–50 cm, or even small newborns and preemies.

Cotton yarns can be turned into lovely dishcloths or pot holders. I always enjoy giving them away along with a matching dish towel.

This pattern spans one row and requires knowledge of single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and chain stitches.

Crochet pattern: Blanket

I used a lot of my leftover yarn for this blanket. You crochet individual flowers, and in the final round, you join them directly to the ones already made. You can customize the shape of this blanket however you like.

If you have 1 ball of yarn left over—that’s enough for a headband.

You can turn leftover cotton yarn in various colors into these fun dishcloths, e.g., for the cat or dog bowl. Both models are knitted in double face:
