Dear users, dear authors,
it’s time for the monthly awards ceremony.

You can read up on the October projects here:
October Projects: Fun with Handcrafts + Nice Chats (No Advertising)

Taking part in the final sprint and awards ceremony: How does it work?
Copy the section a little further down between the asterisks into your text field / reply field, fill it out accordingly, or delete what doesn’t apply.

When will the awards ceremony take place?
The awards ceremony will take place around November 4/5. Everyone will still be added.

I’m not a Crazypatters author; can I still join in?
All users and authors can join in. Simply write a post in the final sprint thread and you’ll be included in the awards ceremony.

Everyone receives at least one title. No one goes offline without a title / without extra bonus points
If someone had lots of everyday challenges in October, that can also be recognized, if the user / author wishes, with a suitable honorary title or extra karma points / bonus points. If necessary, I’ll invent a new honorary title.

Earn extra points / bonus points and boost your karma:
- There are always extra points for photos / pictures (only your own uploaded ones). Please do not upload third-party images / pictures that do not belong to you (e.g. from the internet). I have to delete those.
- Finished handmade projects that are given to loved ones as gifts always also earn extra karma points / bonus points, to appropriately recognize the time / effort / energy spent on them.
--> Please provide the relevant details here in the thread.
- Feedback for our authors (e.g. reviews, comments, etc.) is also always rewarded with extra points.
--> Please write down details if applicable.

Alien King/Queen: more UFOs are always better

[ x ] I have many UFOs / WIPs that are still waiting to be finished, so I am the October King/Queen of the Alien Planet. :- )
Details:

If WIPs count here too, then I definitely belong in this category...
I have a few WIPs that I don’t want to mention here yet—they’re meant to become patterns, or they’re close to being frogged again.
My 2nd felted hat attempt is also coming with me into the new month...

My eternal UFO: the sofa blanket in waffle stitch has already grown quite a bit, but it’s still far from finished... I can’t manage more than a few rows at the moment; then it just gets too dreary for me.

Shopping Queen / King in October:
[ x ] In October I only bought urgently needed yarn / urgently needed materials. Details:
I bought yarn for 2 new “Emmas” (one of my new patterns...) and crocheted it up right away—I was really in the mood for beautiful fall colors

Busy Little Elf in October
[ x ] I was able to get done / finish / complete lots of handicrafts in October. Details:

I crocheted my first felted hat—it’s supposed to be a gift for my mother-in-law... I’m excited to see whether she likes it

A new sewing machine has moved in here, and my husband and I tested it out a bit—with whatever was lying around here.
This needle case was made from an old pillowcase and the cut-off piece of a curtain that was too long

These stamped old book pages also became little gift bags...

I painted these plywood ornaments with watercolors and connected them into a mobile

I’ve already finished the first little things for Christmas too.

My fir-tree Advent calendar has its numbers now and only needs to be filled

These snowmen will go to friends with the Christmas mail

[ x ] I was also very busy offline / in everyday life in October. Details here, if you’d like to share them:

The balcony is ready for winter—the cold-sensitive plants that are staying are now in the protected hallway, quite a few things have been disposed of, and what will overwinter outside has been pruned back.

Pattern Optimization Champion + Hero of the Designers = Designer Title in October

[ x ] I completed at least one new pattern in October and uploaded it here.
Write details here. Link and image allowed.

I newly listed the pattern for the Emma wrap.

The link to the pattern:

Disciplined Stick-with-it King/Queen: no UFO landings here
[ x] I have no UFOs, or hardly any, because I always stay consistent and
disciplined, instead of switching between different
projects.

The only project that will be sitting around longer is the embroidery picture I started at the end of September. I still work on it here and there whenever the light is good enough.
Besides that I do crochet projects, or rather, right now I'm sewing doll clothes for my grandchildren.

Leftover Yarn Champion in October: leftover yarn is great to use up
[x ] In October I used up lots of colorful leftover yarn and have truly earned the title Leftover Yarn Champion.
Details about the leftover-yarn projects in October:
my Christmas decorations (Santa Claus with reindeer and sleigh, and the Guardian Angel Night Light) were made, as always, from leftover yarn.

Shopping Queen / King in October:
This honorary title is for everyone who likes to shop. Photos are always great.
[x ] In October I only bought yarn / material that I urgently needed.
Details:
I had enough yarn, but I bought the LED light for the Guardian Angel Night Light.

Busy Little Elf in October
[ x] I was able to get done / finish / complete lots of handmade projects in October.
Details about that:
The embroidery picture is keeping me pretty busy - but it is coming along.
[x ] I was also very busy offline / in everyday life in October.
Write details here if you would like to share:
Taking care of the grandchildren was a big focus again, since my granddaughter was sick and couldn't go to preschool.
Pattern Optimization Champion + Authors' Hero = author title in October
[x ] In October I finished at least one new pattern and uploaded it here.
Write details here. Link and image allowed.
In October I uploaded 3 patterns:
Scarecrow Victor
(Victor was created as part of the color project and was actually already finished in September. But since the event didn't start until October 5, I didn't upload the pattern until October.)
Santa Claus with Reindeer and Sleigh

Guardian Angel Night Light

[x ] In October I worked on the current seasonal themes (fall, winter,
Halloween, Advent, Christmas, New Year's Eve, etc. ) and
uploaded one or more patterns for them.
Write details here. Link and image allowed.
see the two patterns above
[x ] In October I uploaded a pattern for always-current
evergreen themes, such as colorful leftover yarn / yarn scraps, cute
mini-projects for on the go, simple / TV-friendly stitch patterns,
beginner-friendly projects, cute animals / amigurumi, great decor, trendy
unicorns, owls, mermaids, baby shoes, etc., or
revised one.
also see above
[x ] In October I revised and improved my product images / product texts / my shop.
Unfortunately, I finished and uploaded the pattern for Santa Claus with sleigh much too hastily. Unfortunately, there were still a few errors in it because of that. Luckily, a kind customer, who had a lot of patience with me, pointed this out, so I was able to correct the errors.
[ x] I developed further as an author in October.
I learned: Better to wait a few days before publishing a pattern and check everything carefully again or have it test-crocheted.

Best with Leftovers in October: leftover yarn is great to use up
I knitted the baby set for my granddaughter from leftovers.
And the sample socks for my 3-year-old granddaughter were also knitted from leftover yarn.

Shopping Queen / King in October:
I really went for it again in October and simply couldn’t resist. Here is part of the yarn. The rest is still on its way by mail. But I didn’t buy this yarn; I swapped for it online on an exchange platform.

Buying patterns: become a Crazypatterns Queen/King
In October I was happy about my prize from the review campaign and immediately bought a pattern with it.

Wish List Booster / Watch List Booster
Since I want to use my store credit to fulfill a few wishes, I added more to my watch list.

Sock Queen / Sock King in October
In October I finished knitting 3 pairs of socks - for the grandbaby, for my 3-year-old granddaughter, and for my friend.

Busy Little Helper in October
I finished knitting the following handmade projects in October:
  • a four-piece baby set consisting of a hat, neck warmer, gloves, and socks (photo below)
  • socks for my granddaughter
  • socks for my friend
  • a sleeve scarf for my granddaughter
I also started two new projects:
     a sweater for my granddaughter
     a cardigan for my husband

Here are the photos:

3 new patterns in October - fitting the current season - suitable for leftover yarn, mini projects

1. The cardigan with hat for dolls and teddy bears or newborns

2. The leggings for dolls - great for leftover yarn

3. The winter set for babies - hat, neck warmer, gloves, and little socks/baby booties

I developed further as a designer in October.

For the first time, I learned about a neck warmer, and then I designed one myself and knitted it for my granddaughter so that her arms would stay warm at night in her sleeping bag.

I’m especially excited about the Swap Queen (really cool title), the Crazypatterns Queen, and the Grandma of the Month—wow!

Here’s a question: What does it mean to be the Crazypatterns Queen? ;-)

Thanks, Josefa! November has gotten off to a pretty good start so far; I hope it continues this way! There’s certainly plenty to do!

Thank you for the title award, dear Josefa :)

I especially like the title “Queen of Walks with a Camera.”

Thank you so much for all the great titles!
I think “Crazy Patterns” Queen refers to activity in the threads?

The Crazypatterns queen title is actually about this:
Buying patterns: become a Crazypatterns King/Queen

--> If you don’t want to share that, you can of course delete this part too.

[ ] In October, I didn’t buy any patterns, or only downloaded free patterns.
Details:
[ ] I bought 1–5 patterns in October.
Details:
[ ] I bought more than 5 patterns in October.
Details:

But if you’d rather take on a different challenge to earn this title, we can talk about it.

If you’d like, you could also be recognized for lots of forum posts and forum threads you’ve started. Would you like that?

Do you get the “Crazypatterns Queen” title if you haven’t bought a pattern? No, right?

But if an extra title helps liven up the forum, that’s not a bad thing at all...

Josefa,
your awards ceremony is really great once again.

Of course, I’m happiest about the “Super Yarn Mountain Conqueror.”

Josefa, you’re the best! That’s a really great idea, and I’d love to join in.

I just realized that I’ve actually written over 5,000 comments here already. Wow, I really wouldn’t have thought that. It’s definitely worth it to get a title for the 10,000th comment, for example. ;-) I won’t be able to make it in November, though.
