Red is a popular color again this fall/winter season.
For the cape shown, measuring 51 x 120 cm, you’ll need 200 g of 4-ply yarn (50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic).
The two-page PDF file is suitable for beginners.

“Cool Temptation” is a real eye-catcher.
The elegant lace pattern at the beginning gives it that special touch; the pattern requires a lot of attention, but it’s well worth the effort.
The other patterns are really relaxing—the lace pattern is explained with a chart, and the other two are written out in full.
You’ll need at least 300g of sock-weight yarn. Since the size can be easily adjusted, using 400g will make it extra cozy.

You can make it in any size you like, with or without a cozy warm turtleneck collar.

The 3-piece set is a wonderful companion in every season. The pattern is written to be absolutely beginner-friendly.

No annoying sewing together; it is worked in one piece, so it’s ideal for gradient yarns. As a bonus, you get the patterns for a matching hat and wrist warmers

The amount of material needed depends on the hook/yarn thickness, the poncho length/hat size/hand size.
  • Approx. 2250 m/585 g of 4-ply, plied yarn was used here (without collar)
210 m/55 g of yarn was used for the collar (of course depending on the height)

This poncho is knitted from 200 g of sock yarn. It’s one of my favorite pieces because it keeps me nice and warm while still leaving my arms free. Plus, it’s easy to carry in any bag.

Easy to knit; basic knitting skills are required.

This poncho shawl with a lace pattern and waves is a very pretty eye-catcher. Just the thing for long winter evenings. It’ll be finished by spring, ready to wear.

Knitting Pattern for a Cape

Knitted using only knit and purl stitches, this design is easy to recreate on circular needles.

The pattern includes a written explanation of the stitch pattern, and I’ve also included a knitting chart. This will guide you round by round to the finished result.

Fall is poncho season. You simply throw one on and look dressed. Just like that indoors when you feel a little chilly, or a thicker version for outside. Feel free to take a look at my recommendations. You can get to more pictures, information, and the pattern by clicking on the headings.

I hope you have lots of fun making them.
Warm regards from Ina

Poncho with Fringe - One Size
-> Ideal for knitting beginners, it looks really casual with jeans, for indoors and outdoors, the color gradients come directly from the ball of yarn (6-ply sock yarn)

Warm Poncho
-> One size, also very good for knitting beginners, as I explain everything very well, we knit it as a raglan from the top down, ideal for outside

Short Poncho
-> Perfectly suited for indoors, office-friendly, the short shape leaves your arms free for working, looks elegant and chic

Poncho "Cappucchino"
With two cleverly placed buttons, this poncho is a true quick-change artist. Since the buttons fit through the lace pattern, there’s no need to work in buttonholes—so the buttons can be fastened at any
position you like, creating lots of different ways to wear it!

Two Woolly Hugs BOBBEL-COTTON yarn cakes (50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic, yardage = 800 m/200 g) in color no. 02 were used for the poncho.

Detailed description as a PDF file with text, crochet chart, and step-by-step photos.
