Today I’m going to finish knitting the baby set for my granddaughter, and I’m really looking forward to giving it to her.

We were actually planning to go to a flea market one last time this year. But with this weather, we just couldn’t bring ourselves to go. Instead, I dug out my Christmas boxes because I needed some festive decorations for a knitting project. Oh, and Christmas isn’t that far off anymore. Ever since I saw those Christmas treasures today, I’ve been getting into the Christmas spirit :-)

A holiday? I wondered—well, tonight my daughter’s family left for Munich, where the boys are spending their fall break with Grandma, and now I get it! I hope you were all able to enjoy the day and spend plenty of time doing your favorite things!
For me, it was an almost normal day with my grandkids, and since they were at school in the afternoon and I just had to fold some laundry and run the dishwasher, I had time to crochet on my (twice-unraveled) net, and this evening I even finished the first grandkid sock.
