Dear users, dear authors,
September is over, so it’s time for the awards ceremony.

You can read about the September projects here:
September Projects: Have fun, everyone.

Taking part in the final sprint and awards ceremony: How does it work?
Copy the section below between the asterisks into your text field / the reply field, fill it out or delete what does not apply.

When will the awards ceremony take place?
Since there is a holiday this week, the awards ceremony may be postponed accordingly. But everyone will be entered over the course of the week.

I’m not an author; can I still join in?
All users and authors can join in. You don’t have to be an author to be allowed to participate here. Just write in the final sprint thread and you’ll be included in the awards ceremony.

No one goes away empty-handed. Every (small ) step counts. Everyone receives at least one title.

No one goes offline without an honorary title or without extra karma points / bonus points. If someone had many everyday challenges in September, that can also be recognized, at the user’s / author’s request, with a fitting honorary title or with extra karma points / bonus points. If necessary, I’ll invent a new honorary title to match the individually overcome challenges. That’s all no problem.

Earn extra points / bonus points and improve your own karma:
- For (only your own uploaded ) photos / pictures, there are of course always extra points. Please do not upload third-party images / images that do not belong to you (e.g., from the internet ). I have to delete those.
- Finished handmade items that are given to dear people as gifts always bring extra karma points / bonus points too, to appropriately recognize the time / effort / energy spent on them.
--> Please provide the relevant details here in the thread.
- Feedback for our authors ( e.g., reviews, comments, etc. ) is also always rewarded with extra points.
--> Please write down details if applicable.

But I did at least manage to finish 1 pair of socks and went yarn shopping.

Best Use of Leftovers in September: everything gets used
- The fall decorations: 1 pumpkin, 1 chestnut, 2 acorns, and two toadstools were crocheted from leftover yarn.
- One lonely ball of yarn turned into 21 little decorative hearts.
- One leftover bit of Creative Bubble first became a maple leaf (wash pad)

Yarn Diet / Yarn King/Queen / Inner Slacker Conqueror in September

Saviour of Unruly Yarn / Unruly Material
The little hearts were made from a ball of yarn that couldn’t really be used for anything else (a kind of ribbon yarn)

Conqueror of the Unraveling Monster in September
One pair of baby shoes took several attempts - I unraveled the whole thing more than once...

Learned Something New in September
Just one little thing: I learned how to crochet a round cord.
Knitting a cord cast-on was also new to me.

Garden season in the final sprint // start of fall/winter, preparations for Halloween, Advent, Christmas
- The cozy blanket hasn’t been used yet.
- The first Christmas gift is in progress.

Well, I want to be part of it again this time too. When you list everything, you can immediately see how much you’ve accomplished, and that gives you a good feeling. And when Josefa’s words of praise are added on top of that, you feel even better!

Disciplined Keep-at-It King/Queen: no UFO landings here
[x ] I have no or hardly any UFOs, because I always keep at it consistently and

As far as crocheting goes, I wasn’t that successful this month, but 3 projects are just waiting to be finished. October will be better.

Alien King/Queen: more UFOs are always better
[X ] I have lots of UFOs / WIPs still waiting to be finished, so I am King/Queen of the alien planet. :- )

The gnome Advent calendar and a teddy bear are waiting to be finished

Best of the Leftovers in September: everything gets used
[X ] I used up lots of leftover yarn in September and have truly earned the title Best of the Leftovers.

Disciplined Stick-With-It King/Queen: no UFO landings here[ x ] I have no, or hardly any, UFOs because I always mostly stick with things consistently and in a disciplined way instead of switching between projects.

My sofa blanket in waffle stitch is currently turning into a long-term UFO—I really don’t feel like working on it right now.

I’m also still working on a C2C sweater, but that’s more of a WIP than a UFO.
At what point does a current handmade project that needs a few days’ thinking break actually count as a UFO?

Otherwise I actually only have a very few “I don’t know yet whether I’ll finish it or frog it” projects whose future is still uncertain.

Best of the Leftovers in September: everything gets used up
[ x ] I used up a lot of leftover yarn in September and have honestly earned the title Best of the Leftovers.--> However, anyone who bought more yarn to finish the respective leftover-yarn projects may need to come up with something to convince me. Good arguments are, of course, always an advantage. :- ).
Details about the leftover-yarn projects in September:

For the Christmas tree Advent calendar, I made quite a few trees from leftover yarn, but I didn’t have enough suitable shades of green and had to buy more.

Shopping Queen / King in September:
[ x ] I only bought necessary yarn / urgently needed materials in September.
Details:

I had to buy more yarn for the fir tree Advent calendar—including dark green fluffy yarn, which really tested my patience while I was working with it. Fluffy yarn is generally rather difficult to crochet with, but with the dark color the stitches were even harder to see... but I like the result.

I also bought yarn for the C2C sweater.

Pattern Optimization Champion + Hero of the Authors = author title in September.
[ x ] I completed at least one new pattern in September and uploaded it here.
Write details here. Link and image allowed.

I newly listed the felted basket Cassie.

[ x ] In September I worked on current seasonal themes (fall, winter, Halloween, Advent, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc.) and uploaded one pattern or several for them.
Write details here. Link and image allowed.

I crocheted the pull-through scarf Lucille from a gradient cake; it’s wonderfully cozy for the cooler fall days that are coming now.

https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/54301/schultertuch-steckschal-lucille-haekelanleitung

Also the pattern for 3 different sizes of fir trees, which I’m currently using to crochet an Advent calendar.

https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/54281/tannenwaeldchen-baeume-in-3-groessen-und-3-varianten-

[ x ] In September I uploaded or revised a pattern on evergreen topics such as leftover yarn / yarn scraps, mini projects for on the go, TV-friendly patterns, beginner models, animals / amigurumi, decorations, unicorns, owls, mermaids, baby shoes, etc.
Write details here. Link and image allowed.

The fir trees are wonderful as a project to take along, since the little trees are very compact and quite straightforward to crochet. They make great decorations, not only for Christmas.

Frogging Monster Conqueror in the month of September.
[ x ] In September I partially frogged an unfinished handmade project, or one or more UFOs, and then finished it after all. So I am a Frogging Monster Conqueror.
Details:

I must have completely crocheted up a gradient cake I’d been given about 4 times before I actually liked the result.
That’s what became the pattern for the pull-through scarf Lucille.

Final Sprint of Garden Season // Start of fall/winter, preparations for Halloween, Advent, Christmas.
[ x ] I had pleasant cozy-blanket evenings.
Details:

Last week I snuggled up again to crochet; I always really enjoy that on the first cold days.

[ x ] I made use of sunny moments and had fun again in the garden / in the park / on the balcony, etc.
Details:

There were still a few lovely days when we had a tasty barbecue on our balcony.
We also went on vacation, a few days in Strasbourg and then to Lake Constance—the weather there was great, we walked a lot, were usually still able to sit outside for dinner in the evenings, and saw so much.

[ x ] I had / have also made preparations beyond crafting for fall / Halloween / Advent / Christmas, etc.
Details:

My Halloween/fall decorations are ready, and I’ve started decorating. And the first Christmas gift has already been bought.

[ x ] I have already started crafting the decorations / gifts / clothing for Halloween, fall, Advent, and Christmas.
Details:

I crocheted the fir trees for the Advent calendar for my sweetheart, but I’m still missing a brilliant idea for the numbers. Luckily I still have enough time...

Yarn Diet / Yarn Empress / Inner-Temptation Conqueror in September

Write details here if you’d like to share them:
Our grapes were harvested this month, then processed into delicious grape juice and grape jelly.
I also finished two concrete leaves; I gave one of them to an acquaintance for her birthday.

I’m done with the awards ceremony now (you can find it above in the first post of this thread).
It’s great that you all joined in again this time. You all obviously had a productive September. I wish you a wonderful October with plenty of time for crafting, lots of creative ideas, finished projects, and relaxation.

Who else would like to take part in the awards ceremony?

Josefa, you summed that up perfectly in just a few words. And yet my post ended up being quite long. I’m amazed myself at everything I managed to accomplish in September—despite having less time.

Thanks for this thread. It’s always a pleasure to be a part of it.

Once again, your awards ceremony is fantastic, Josefa! You’re so creative at coming up with new titles all the time!
I hope my current momentum lasts as long as possible—I have so many ideas (and sooo much yarn!)

Thanks for your effort, Josefa.
Your creative honorary titles here put me in a good mood, especially the “Cozy Wool Queen.”
