Mathilde the Unicorn is available, among other options, in a large version so that a
music box or various crinkle and rattle elements can fit inside. This makes her a wonderful
gift for a birth, and with the colorful rainbow colors you can also use up your
leftover yarn.

Mathilde also has a little sister who completes the set as a
crinkle cloth.

If you prefer something more neutral, or if you’re preparing a
gift for a birth and don’t yet know whether it will be a boy or a girl, the
zebra is a great choice. It also has room for a
music box, but can also simply be filled with crinkle and rattle elements as a
toy, or just be a simple
cuddly toy.
The color changes require a little crochet experience—but I explain it in the pattern and am always available for questions.

In general, the patterns are
suitable for ambitious beginners. I used a cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m/50 g; for more detailed information, please check out the individual patterns.
Have fun crocheting!
