Help, I don’t understand my crochet chart

Hello everyone, I urgently need your help or confirmation. I’d like to crochet a vest with the pattern shown above and I’m not sure whether I’m reading the crochet chart correctly. It’s about the part with the 6 treble crochets. After the first group of three, do I need to crochet 2 or 4 chain stitches? I suspect 2, but I’m confused by all these chain stitch symbols between those two groups of three, and also by the symbol for the single crochet at the very bottom..
