Dear users, dear authors,
do you enjoy starting a new craft project more, or finishing one?

Both—there’s joy in seeing a new project take shape, and joy again when it’s finally finished and you’ve created another beautiful piece.

I like starting more than finishing!
Maybe that’s why I have so many UFOs )))

Actually, I love both...
But since I have sooo many projects right now that still need to be finished, I’d rather finish some of them.
That feels like progress :)

I like to start things, and I’m happy when I can finish a project.

I like both—starting something new is always great, and when it’s finished, even more so.

I like both, actually.

When I start something, I enjoy the beautiful yarn and the new pattern.

When I finish it, I’m happy and proud of myself for having completed it. Quite often, though, I stop after trying out a yarn and pattern and start the next one. Then I forget how to continue, and when I eventually figure out what it was supposed to be, I end up unraveling the whole thing again.

Both of these things make me feel good.

Yes, I really enjoy both. The beginning is always an adventure because the full realization of my initial ideas usually only comes to me as I knit or crochet. When I finish, I’m delighted with my successful new work of art—which is what it is to me, in a way. And above all, I’m thrilled when I give it as a gift and know I’ve chosen just the right thing.

I prefer finishing them. At the beginning, there’s always so little on the needle, and once I’ve crocheted or knitted a whole section, I finally have “something in my hands.” That feels better to me. But I especially look forward to finishing—the moment when I hold the finished piece in my hands is truly delightful. That’s why I don’t have any UFOs.

For me, starting a project involves a lot of trial and error. Lots of ideas swirl around in my head, and I have to try them out first. That often means I have to start over and engage in unraveling several times. When the idea finally takes shape and results in a cohesive piece, that brings me more joy. So I’m definitely the type who prefers finishing a project. Plus, once I’m done, my mind is clear for new projects.

Starting!
That’s pure joy.
I, too, have many UFOs; I lack the perseverance to finish things. I’ve often been disappointed with the results. Or the joy was short-lived.
I also lack the pride or THAT self-praise—it doesn’t give me any emotional satisfaction. I’m just too critical of myself for that... :-(
