Since I now offer 7 grannies, all of which have the same side length, I have created a collection so that you have them all at a glance. If you combine them all together, you can crochet yourself a wonderful blanket.

Now I’ll show you the most-purchased grannies from my series

Rank 1 is held by this granny

Granny Number5 Flower. In every pattern you’ll find written instructions for each round, and there is also a crochet chart you can work from.

Rank 2 is held by my Granny Number 2

Knowledge of single crochet, chain stitches, double crochet, and half double crochet is needed for my grannies.

Rank 3 is held by my first granny - grid.

The grannies are all approx. 15 cm in size, crocheted with Catania by Schachenmayr.

This balloon cover is crocheted from individual granny squares.

Leftover yarn can be used very well here. The individual granny squares are quick to crochet; the tricky part is assembling them correctly. I explain this with lots of pictures in my pattern.

A hidden opening is worked to make changing the balloon possible.

Here you’ll find the pattern, along with yarn and color suggestions

This blanket is crocheted in the shape of a large granny square. We start in the center and finish when we reach the desired size or when we run out of yarn.

You should have a basic understanding of single crochet, double crochet, chain stitches, and slip stitches.

The pattern includes both a written explanation of the rounds and a crochet chart.

This diaper bag is knitted from granny squares and is a very nice alternative to sewn diaper bags. It’s relatively easy to knit (only knit stitches) and can therefore be made even by beginners with basic knitting skills.
Whether knitted from leftover yarn or a beautiful gradient yarn, it’s always a real eye-catcher. Filled with all the essentials, it makes a great gift for expectant or new moms.

The baby bonnet from Baby Emmi’s christening set is also crocheted using granny squares.
Three individual granny squares are joined together to form a pretty baby bonnet.

Click here for the pattern for the entire set

You’ll receive a detailed 23-page pattern with plenty of photos to help you follow along.
The set includes a cute little dress, a bonnet, baby booties, and adorable diaper pants.
It also comes with a baby blanket and a pacifier.

A granny square is actually a square crocheted from the center outward, but I think a pentagon can also be allowed in this thread. Maybe you'll like my suggestions for that? The small individual pieces are wonderful to crochet ahead of time and then join together into something big.

For more pictures, information, and the pattern, just click on the heading.

I hope you have lots of fun with your new project.
Best wishes - Ina

5 corners are fine, 6 corners are fine—it should just be a small craft project that you make multiple times to create something larger, such as a blanket or a pillowcase, etc.

Granny Number 8 shows you a diamond pattern.

This granny square is also about 15 cm in size and matches the granny squares I showed above.

You should be familiar with single crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, and chain stitches. The pattern is written out round by round, and you’ll also find a crochet chart for the granny square.

This baby blanket is knitted to match the diaper bag above. Here, too, the individual grannies are not sewn together, but knitted in one piece!

This phone case is crocheted from small granny squares. They are sewn together and then crocheted around together in a pattern.

You can adjust the size of the case by varying the yarn length, hook size, and the edging. Crocheted with Catania yarn, it turns out to be the right size for our paper tissues.
