Dear users and authors,
which craft technique do you like best right now?

Dear Josefa,

It’s always changing for me. I was in a crochet phase for a long time. But right on time for fall, I started feeling more like knitting again and using thick, warm, soft wool. And that’s why I pulled out my thick size 8 knitting needles yesterday. It’s quite a difference: first a 1.25 crochet hook, and now a size 8 knitting needle. You make progress so quickly and can see much sooner what you’ve accomplished.

I wish all readers of this thread a wonderful weekend and plenty of time for their handicrafts.
Best regards - Ina

Would anyone else like to add something?

Dear Josefa,

I’d love to say something about this, but I can’t *laughs* because your “favorite right now” means I’d have to choose just one craft technique...
For me, there have always been two: crocheting and crafting. And crafting is such a broad field...
And starting this fall, just like Ina, I’ll be adding knitting with nice, cozy yarn to the mix.

Best regards
Nicole

For me, it’s definitely knitting—right now, I still prefer using cotton most of all. But I’ve already started knitting with sock yarn and virgin wool. It feels really nice in this weather.

Every now and then I’ll do a little crocheting in between, but knitting is always my favorite. Everything turns out nice and soft and stretchy, which I especially prefer for clothing.

I feel the same way as you do—I enjoy knitting and crocheting equally.

I crochet small items very often, but I prefer to knit sweaters, jackets, and so on. It’s true—they’re softer, and there are so many great knitting patterns.
