It’s been really stressful and busy lately—when you’re approaching 70, even moving just one floor down isn’t as easy to manage as it was at 30 or 40. There’s renovation going on downstairs and packing up upstairs; the apartment looks like a hoarder’s—boxes of stuff everywhere. My sewing and craft supplies alone take up about 10 moving boxes.

The weekend was as perfect as it hasn’t been in a long time. I also bought a new laptop—my old one had let me down. Now I can work on my new patterns again, smoothly and without any glitches.

And tomorrow I’m finally going to visit my best friend again, and we’re going to have a lovely day together. That’ll feel so good after all these crazy weeks.

I have lots of ideas swirling around in my head right now—three or four patterns are waiting to be finished. And my beautifully renovated study is inspiring me to take on new projects. I’m completely satisfied and in good spirits.

Akela, I wish you a smooth move. I can well believe that all of this doesn’t come as easily as it did at 40—I’m already noticing that at “only” 58.

Pretty good! We just got back from a short hiking getaway and had a delicious meal with my in-laws. Now I’m back to my crafts—I’ve really missed them.

Akela, I also wish you a smooth and pleasant move with lots of hard-working helpers. Just imagine how nice it will be once it’s all done. That’s incredibly motivating. Especially at our age—I’m already 65, after all.

I also had a very nice weekend. Now I’m finally finishing up my granddaughter’s leggings and also writing up a few patterns. I’d like to get that done before my vacation in September.

Total renovation chaos at home.... 3/4 of the living space has been freshly painted, plus various small jobs; the living room has been completely redone, and the upstairs has been rearranged. 
We redesigned the garden, and right now my uncle and I are painting the facade ourselves.

I'm climbing around on a ladder.... without diapers 😄

Those are a few reasons why it's been so quiet around here
