Dear users, dear authors,
here in this thread you’ll find easy-to-make small projects that can be made with leftover yarn. Have fun with them.

@Authors,
only patterns with at least 25 sales may be presented here. No free patterns. CR doesn’t matter. 2–3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget the link, image, material info, etc.

Oktoberfest and other fairs will be starting again soon. Barbie wants to be traditionally dressed for the occasion, too. This pretty traditional red-and-black dirndl with the green openwork apron looks especially good on her. She also wears a matching traditional hat, a traditional bag, and a black choker. The white blouse is crocheted on: that makes dressing easier. Of course, the little gingerbread heart is a must, too.
You can crochet all of this from leftover yarn. I recommend relatively thin cotton (e.g. Catania fine by Schachenmayr, LL 165 m / 50 g).

You can crochet these little good-luck charms using tiny amounts of leftover yarn. Embellish jackets and shirts with these appliqués, use them on greeting cards, as decorative accents, or as refrigerator magnets! They’re also great for covering small holes in shirts or kids’ leggings. And I’m sure you’ll come up with lots more ideas!

Isn’t that funny? The snowman on the candy jar is so cold that he quickly keeps crocheting his scarf (or knitting it - depending on which version you choose!)
The snowman is crocheted, and the hat and scarf are either crocheted or knitted. An original way to package candy for winter!

You’ll need:
  • approx. 30 g white cotton yarn (Catania by Schachenmayr)
  • a scrap of orange cotton yarn
  • leftover colorful sock yarn
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • safety eyes
  • stuffing
  • 2 toothpicks
  • craft glue
  • 1 candy or jam jar, about 7.5 cm in diameter
  • 1 thick sewing needle for weaving in ends and sewing the pieces together
  • (for the knitting snowman: a set of 2.0 mm double-pointed needles)
You can find the pattern here!

You can use up any leftover yarn here. I used red and green. That makes this door-hanger owl look like a traffic light. It clearly shows whether entry is allowed or not. This is an absolute hit, especially with kids.

Make the kids happy and crochet this door hanger for them. It’s very simple and suitable even for beginners with some crochet experience.

This tissue box decorated with butterflies and hearts can be crocheted wonderfully from colorful leftover yarn. Very practical, decorative, and eco-conscious. In our house, it has now replaced napkins at least for everyday use.

And this box is also a big hit as a gift. My friend was very happy with it.

Easy to crochet, even for beginners with some crochet experience.

This cute little jacket with the hat looks just like clothes for a real baby. This will especially delight doll moms who have a doll that’s about 40–50 cm tall. As a gift, this set is sure to be an absolute hit.

Easy to knit, even for beginners with some knitting experience.

The detailed, step-by-step illustrated pattern for the cat silhouette can be found at the link.
It’s perfect as a bookmark or an appliqué.
To make the cat silhouette, you’ll only need leftover yarn in your desired color, a crochet hook, a stitch marker, a blunt-tipped sewing needle, and a pair of scissors.
Using cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m per 50 g, the cat will be approximately 12 cm tall.

A little heart is always a good idea: for your dearest friend, as a keychain, as a gift tag, or as a scented sachet for the closet. It always says “I love you” in a special way. It’s quick to crochet from just a few grams of yarn. Depending on the yarn used, it will be larger or smaller (see my example photos here).

I hope you enjoy the pattern and have a lovely weekend.
Warm regards from Ina

I also have a little leftover-yarn project for doll moms—or rather for their crocheting mothers, grandmothers, or sisters: a 3-piece doll clothing set consisting of a dress, clutch, and hat. Just a few grams of yarn and a crochet hook are enough—and you can create lovely things for your Barbies in no time.

I hope you enjoy the pattern. Yours, Ina

In the beginning there was a little bag. It hadn’t yet decided whether it wanted to sit in a child’s room
and hold little Marie’s hair clips, or whether it
would rather sit on Marie’s plate filled with Easter eggs, or whether, together with 23 others, it would rather bring Marie a surprise every day before Christmas.

You can decide that for yourself, because the little bags are universally
usable. They are quickly crocheted from a few leftovers and will
delight you. If you start the Advent calendar now, you can look forward to December 1 relaxed and ready.

I hope you have lots of fun with this creative project. Yours, Ina

Giving a little guardian angel as a gift makes you happy -
and crocheting a little guardian angel is fun too ♥

For the sweet striped angels you’ll need
cotton with a yardage between 110 and 125 m per 50 g and
a size 2.5 crochet hook. You’ll never need more than 10 g per color :-)

This crocheted balloon cover is a great way to put your leftover yarn to good use.

You’ll crochet individual granny squares, which are then sewn together at the end. It protects the balloon, is easy to wash when dirty, and dries quickly.

You should know how to make single crochet, chain stitches, and double crochet.
