New Additions to the Family

My family has grown over the past week.
We adopted these two from the animal shelter. The female had even hidden under the stove. Now we have to keep the kitchen door closed for the time being.

It wasn’t that long ago that I also had fun with a kitten—in any case, little kitties like that are rays of sunshine around the house and really lift the spirits, even if it can be pretty exhausting at times. Of course, big cats are also balm for the soul.
It’s great that you got these two from the shelter—now have fun with the little rascals and enjoy a happy time with all that comes with it :-)

My grandchildren think they’re really cute, too

These two are truly adorable! Our Tiger is getting on in years now, but we still remember exactly how he came to us as a little kitten and kept us on our toes—since he was a farm cat used to the outdoors, he simply couldn’t understand why he suddenly had to be cooped up inside. Of course, he’s been enjoying the garden and the surrounding area for quite some time now!

I envy anyone who can or is allowed to get a cat; for me, having one of these furry friends would be a life-threatening endeavor. Unfortunately, I’m very allergic to cats—I get choking fits and my eyes swell up. As an asthmatic, it’s a total no-go for me, even though I love cats and had one as a child.
