Dear users, dear authors,
You know how it goes. First Christmas seems far away, and suddenly it's Christmas Eve.
So my question to you: Do you think about Christmas even in the summer heat, or when do you get started with fall / Halloween / Advent / Christmas? Do you already have enough yarn for it? Have you already discovered some great patterns?
I think I’ll start on Anton’s Advent calendar in August. ... There’ll be little elves... We’ll see—maybe I’ll make one for my husband, too. But I’ll decide that spontaneously.
Not by a long shot—I’ve got at least five birthdays to get through before I can even start thinking about Christmas. I usually start around late October or early November. Since I’m retired, I have plenty of time during the day to get my projects in order.
I’ve had a cold during these hot days and used the time on the sofa to start working on Christmas gifts. Lots of little toys for my kids, nieces, and nephew are just waiting to be crocheted. So this year, I’m hoping to at least get the homemade gifts done in time. As for the others (the store-bought ones), it’ll probably come down to the wire again :)
Christmas is still a long way off—the holidays will be here before we know it.
For now, it’s all about crocheting for summer in all those gorgeous, bright colors.
Before that, there’s still Halloween—but that can wait, too. We’ve got plenty of ideas, but we’ll tackle them all when the time comes.
