If you still have some leftover yarn from your last project, you can use this pattern to crochet beautiful lanterns for your summer patio.

You can also combine different colors, as long as the yardage is roughly the same.
The finished lanterns make wonderful little gifts to bring to a barbecue, and thanks to the many detailed photos, the pattern is also suitable for ambitious beginners.

   Here’s the pattern

Enjoy the summer and have fun crocheting!

Do you still have some leftover yarn from a yarn cake? Just under 50 g is enough to crochet the cheerful octopus Oskar! (But of course, you can also use any other yarn for this, such as the popular Catania cotton yarn.)
Oskar not only feels at home in the ocean, but also loves to move into the kids’ room. He also fits right in with a nautical decor theme. He isn’t difficult to crochet, and basic skills are enough. Special stitches (bobble stitches and picots) are explained in detail in the pattern.

With just a few small bits of leftover yarn and a crochet hook, you can whip up these cute pencil toppers. With a dog, cat, or mouse, writing and arithmetic become even more fun! Wouldn’t these be perfect for a school cone? But preschool children love these pencil toppers too!

How about a crochet pattern for lanterns or flower vases?

All you need are small scraps of yarn to crochet a pretty cover for small jars.

The pattern includes a crochet chart, and the stitch sequences are also written out.

You can use up quite a lot of leftover yarn for this blanket.

Individual flowers are crocheted and joined to the already crocheted flowers in the final round. This way, you can see right from the start how the blanket is growing and can keep changing its shape. The finished blanket is then nicely crocheted around the edge at the end.

You should be familiar with chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, and double crochet.

Key or bag charm with angel wing
But even without a key ring, hung as decoration in a window or above a child’s bed, these beautiful charms are always eye-catching. You’ll receive a detailed PDF pattern with text and numerous step-by-step photos, making it easy even for beginners. The wings are very quick to crochet and look beautiful from both sides (the back looks almost like stockinette stitch).

The name says it all!
These little leftover-yarn flowers can be crocheted with any leftover yarn, no matter how small - regardless of the type of yarn or hook size (though the size will change, of course).

Each little flower becomes a one-of-a-kind piece with its own unique color combinations ♥

A headband is always needed for babies and toddlers on chilly days. This one can be knitted from leftover yarn. I used the leftover yarn from a pinafore dress.

Adjustable to any size. It’s also easy to make for beginners with some knitting experience.
The pattern for the little crocheted heart is included.

If you have young children or grandchildren, leftover yarn is perfect for crocheting food for a doll's kitchen. My granddaughter loves playing with it very often.

Even dolls want pasta, toast, fried eggs, vegetables, and butter on their plates.

Easy to crochet, even for beginners with some crochet experience.
