SMC Catania by Schachenmayr

Hi, I have a question. I downloaded a pattern. It specifies the SMC Catania yarn by Schachenmayr. Is this a different yarn than Catania Originals by Schachenmayr?
I’m worried that if I use Catania Originals for the Lola doll—which is the base doll for Anna and Elsa—I won’t be able to get the curls right.
I’d appreciate a reply.

Have you tried asking the author herself yet? Since she wrote the pattern and knows exactly what it’s about, she’s surely the best person to help you.

Either her contact information is listed in the pattern, or you can send her a private message via Crazypatterns .

Maybe someone here is familiar with the yarn you mentioned, too.

Catania Originals is the same as SMC Catania. (I think the newer version is called Catania Originals.)
I don’t know how the pattern describes making the curls, but it should be possible with any cotton yarn of similar yardage.
