Too hot for crafting?

Are you feeling warm right now?
When does it get too hot for crafting?

Here where we are (in Swabia, on the edge of the Swabian Alb), the weather is rather mediocre at the moment. The temperatures are very comfortable, and it rains from time to time. So for me, the temperatures are still just right for crafting.

But even when it’s hot, I still knit or crochet—I just switch to lighter yarns that include cotton.

Here in the Landshut area, between Regensburg and Munich, we’re having muggy but beautiful weather. From noon until 3 p.m., it’s too hot for me to do handicrafts.
After that, the shade gradually sets in, making it perfect for working in the garden—so that’s another kind of handiwork ;) I just finished making my first batch of cherry jam, and my husband came right over to sneak a taste. And now, around 8 p.m., it’s comfortable inside and perfect for doing handicrafts while enjoying a cold beer.

It’s been pretty humid here today, too. I live in Lower Bavaria as well. But that doesn’t stop me from knitting and crocheting at all. It doesn’t have to be thick merino wool right now, but cotton always works.

Here in Vienna, it’s been around 30 degrees for about a week now. It’s manageable out in the countryside where my parents live, but in the city it’s unbearable. And on Saturday, it’s supposed to reach 36 degrees!!! But I can always do handicrafts—whether on the tram or in my darkened apartment, it doesn’t matter. That’s when you really notice the enthusiasm—or is it more of an addiction?

The weather here in the Black Forest is definitely not too hot...
I'm just too lazy for crafting at the moment ;)
