The Origami Market Bag is perfect for crocheting while watching TV. It’s crocheted using the basic Tunisian crochet stitch, which is explained in detail in the pattern and is suitable even for beginners (especially if they’ve done a bit of knitting before).

Since you only need to crochet a rectangle that’s later folded and sewn together, you can crochet at a leisurely pace. The pattern is the same in every row, and there are no increases, decreases, or color changes.

All you need is a Tunisian crochet hook, about 250 g of variegated cotton yarn (length approx. 120 m / 50 g), and a scrap (approx. 30 g) in a contrasting color for the handle and decorative border.

The pattern for my Baby Blanket Based on a Design by My Grandma is perfect for crocheting in front of the TV. You do have to count along a little, but there are no seams, no color changes, and no increases or decreases.
