A pretty beach bag for you—or as a gift for someone you want to make especially happy!
This great pattern featuring sea creatures is crocheted using the tapestry technique with a special stitch. Both are explained in detail in the pattern. However, you should already have some experience in crocheting.
The bag is crocheted using cotton yarn with a length of 125 m / 50 g (Catania). You’ll need about 200 g of the lighter color and 250 g of the darker color.

If you have some yarn left over from the beach bag or would like to start with a smaller project in tapestry crochet, you can crochet this sunglasses case to match the bag. For this, you’ll need 25 g of the lighter yarn and 8 g of the darker yarn.

To help little ones get in the right mindset for their first year of school, it’s a good idea to decorate their bedrooms accordingly. This window decoration is one of many decorating options.

With its many small details, it’s doable even for a beginner, though it does present a bit of a challenge. For a crafter with some experience, this project is just right.
The window decoration is made of cardstock and tracing paper and measures approximately 49 x 68 cm.

This could be a small challenge if you’ve never worked with wood before. But don’t worry, I’ll help you and show you step by step how it’s done. It’s a doll bed especially for “woodworking beginners”. We only use rectangular wooden pieces, which we glue together and then spray with paint. You’ll find more photos, information and the instructions if you click on the heading.

A doll bed like this is much more individual than those standard plastic beds from the department store. And you can even make more than one, in the doll mummy’s favourite colour. Just give it a try, it’s fun and it brings great joy to children and grandchildren.

Building Instructions Simple Doll Bed for Barbie

And if the “simple doll bed” is too simple for you, you can make it a bit more ornate. To make the princess bed, you’ll need a scroll saw so that you can saw out the curves. As always, you’ll find more examples and information if you click on the heading.

Building Instructions Princess Bed

I hope you enjoy this project - Yours, Ina

PS. The sewing instructions for the 3-piece reversible bed linen are also available separately ... in case you already have a doll bed and want to sew bedding for it.

With this special stitch (double stitch), it is possible to crochet in rounds without any offset - making it especially suitable for the tapestry technique. Beautiful, straight-running patterns can be worked in.

This sweet first baby jacket made from thicker cotton is a very pretty project for advanced crafters. It has a hood and a heart lace pattern and is reminiscent of traditional costume style. The jacket is knitted and the button band is crocheted.

Of course, the jacket can also be knitted from merino wool. It fits at least up to 3–6 months.

Here is the knitting pattern.

This cute little baby pinafore dress features a unique lace pattern that advanced knitters will really enjoy. I reknit it based on a children’s garment that’s over 50 years old, since I couldn’t find it anywhere anymore.

The dress fits from about 3 to 18 months.

Would you like to surprise someone with a homemade birthday card? Then you should definitely get this pop-up card. It does take a bit of effort to make, but that’s exactly what makes it so special!

This birthday card is made from cardstock and construction paper and measures approximately 21 x 10.5 cm. With a little crafting experience, the card isn’t hard to make, since the pop-up mechanism consists of a single piece and is easy to follow.
